The
SpeechExec
software licensing EULA (end user license agreement) only provisions for a single, unique, license key to
be activated on a single PC at one time.
If you
currently have an activated SpeechExec software solution on your PC and
you want to install the SpeechExec software on a different or new PC, you must Revoke or return the
activated license on this PC before doing so. The process needs to be done before uninstalling the software. this will free up the
license for use on the new PC.
The Revoking process requires that the PC has an active internet connection
How to Revoke a license: PC must have an internet connection!
Launch the SpeechExec software
In
this example, the software is SpeechExec Pro Transcribe 8.8 and the OS is Windows 7 but the process is the same
for any SpeechExec
version 7x, 8x, or 10x software.
Step 1
Select "Help > License Information..."
Step 1
Here you will see what licenses are activated. For some installations, there may be an Activated license for the Software and a separate Activated license for connection to speech recognition software. In this example, we have one license type and the option to Revoke them.
Step 2
Save a copy of the current license(s) before revoking:
Before Revoking, you will need to collect the current license key(s) so that you may use them with the SpeechExec software on the new PC.

To facilitate this, the dialogue offers a [copy-to-clipboard] feature in the lower-left area as shown in the picture above.
Open Notepad or any other word processing program to paste in the license key from the clipboard.Make sure to keep a copy of this file as you will need the license keys for use with the new PC
Step 3
Start the Revoking process
IMPORTANT: If you have two license keys shown, you must begin with the bottom license key.
You will be prompted with the screen below:
Click "Yes"
The revocation process begins...you should receive a ‘Success’ message
Click "OK"
We now see that there are no longer any licenses installed for this software
Click "Close"
At this point you are no longer able to use the SpeechExec software on this computer, Please uninstall SpeechExec form your computer, you will not be able to use it anymore. At this point you will be able to use the license key for the new computer. And should be able to install it on the new computer and it should show you the following message:
