MAC OS X Yosemite compatibility:

DPMConnect4Mac version 1.3 SpeechControl4Mac version 3.2 

to support Mac OS X Yosemite.

DPMConnect4Mac V1.3

In the legal and medical environment the Mac platform becomes more and more fashionable.

Many companies already also support the Bring Your Own Device policy where end users can decide

by themselves which device they would like to use for their daily work.

In many cases, this is a MacBook.

It is therefore quite natural that DPM users expect to download dictations via their Mac into the

company network while their assistants are still working with a standard Windows PC.

DPMConnect4Mac has been designed to download DSS and DS2 dictation files from professional

Philips Dictation devices.

This document describes the details to the release of this software product.

INTRODUCTION:

DPMConnect4Mac is designed to download DSS and DSS Pro dictations, from supported Philips DPMs, in a Mac environment. 

The software allows configuring of several download settings such as target 

folders and automatic subfolder creation.

It is also possible to specify download rules which enable the user to automatically download only

specific dictations.

To also support mixed environments, where competitor devices are used, DPMConnect4Mac also supports the download from Olympus DS-5000 and DS-3400 including the subfolder structure.

ARCHITECTURAL CHANGES

Especially for Mac OS 10.10 we had to do some changes in the software architecture to guarantee

system stability

For all listed operating systems, it is recommended that the latest update available is applied before

installing DPMConnect4Mac.

Do Note: Connecting more than one device at the same time is not supported.

SUPPORTED LANGUAGE

The DPMConnect4Mac software is currently provided in English only.

The new DPMConnect4Mac software will be available as download option from the “Product support” page of the Speech Processing Solutions website. The software will also be available as download link on the SpeechExec Dictate and SpeechExec Pro DVDs from Q3 2015 onward...

SpeechControl4Mac 3.2

SpeechControl4Mac enables to configure

 and use a SpeechMike III and a SpeechMike Premium on Mac platforms and to control

Dragon Dictate 3 and Dragon Dictate 4.                 This document describes the highlights to the release of this software product. 

INTRODUCTION:

SpeechControl4Mac is designed to control other applications with the SpeechMike in the Mac

environment. The software allows to assign different functions to each button, enable or and disable certain features, and to control applications via hotkeys. Even more advanced, you can easily control Dragon Dictate 3 with a simple button clicks e.g.: Start and stop recording, selecting words and many more commands. You can also reconfigure the SpeechMike according to your personal preferences and save the settings back to the device. In case you have mixed up the SpeechMike settings you can simply restore the default device configuration settings with a single click.

The new SpeechControl4Mac software will be available as download link in the Windows version of

SpeechControl 3.5 which is planned to be released mid June 2015.
