Have you tried recording on a watch yet?
Getting started is a breeze. Ensure that your iOS is up to date, and if you already have the SpeechLive mobile app installed on your iPhone with automatic app install selected in your Apple Watch app settings, the SpeechLive mobile app will automatically install and appear on your Apple Watch's home screen. If you haven't installed the app on your phone, simply visit the Apple App Store to download it here. Make sure SpeechLive is installed by scrolling to the bottom of your watch app on your iPhone.
Once you spot the SpeechLive app icon on your Apple Watch, recording is just a tap away. Tap the red "Start" button to begin recording, use the corresponding buttons to pause or stop the recording, and tap the play button when you're ready to listen to your recording. After finishing your dictation, click on the "Finish" button to send it to SpeechLive, or utilize the delete button to remove the current recording.
Installation:
1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
2. Scroll down and ensure that SpeechLive is installed. Tap "Install" if it's not installed.
To start recording and playback dictations with SpeechLive on your Apple Watch, you have two convenient options:
Option 1:
1. Press the Digital Crown of your Apple Watch.
2. Navigate to the app overview and locate the SpeechLive icon
3. Tap on the SpeechLive icon to launch the app.
Option 2:
1. Raise your wrist and bring your Apple Watch Ultra close to your mouth.
2. Say "Hey Siri" to activate Siri.
3. Follow up with the command "Open SpeechLive" to launch the app.
Both options allow you to conveniently access SpeechLive on your Apple Watch and manage your speech-to-text workflow with ease. Enjoy the efficiency and flexibility of recording and managing your dictations right from your wrist.
Once you have opened the SpeechLive app on your Apple Watch, you can start recording by tapping the record button
To pause or stop recording, tap the pause/stop button
To listen to your recording, tap the playback button
When you have finished dictating, tap the finish button
Note: If the Mobile App is open on your iPhone, your dictation will be synchronized immediately. Otherwise, it will be synchronized the next time you open the Mobile App on your iPhone. Your dictation will be sent to your preferred typist(s) for processing, respecting your typist or team settings.
*Apple Watch (iOS only): Version 1.14.0 and newer of the Mobile App for iOS supports the Apple Watch. This allows you to conveniently record and play back dictations using your Apple Watch.
